Playa, playa, playa...¡qué ganas tenía de verte! Una de las cosas que más echo de menos donde vivo es el mar, y obviamente, en verano más. Sabía que yendo a California iba a poder ver el mar, aunque sea la bahía de San Francisco, pero no sabía si tendría la oportunidad de ir a la playa dado el poco tiempo que tenía. Finalmente, el último día, fue posible, y no pudo haber un mejor final para este viaje. Aquella misma noche tenía el vuelo de vuelta, así que madrugamos para coger el coche y conducir por la costa hacia el sur, disfrutando del paisaje hasta la playa a la que mi amiga me quería llevar.
¡¡¡Qué bonito!!! Cómo me gustaría coger el coche y conducir, sin rumbo, sobre la marcha, a donde las ganas del momento y los descubrimientos del camino me dirijan. Sin límite de tiempo, un viaje no planeado, indefinido,... ¡¡Hay demasiados sitios por conocer!!
Fue un día precioso, compramos comida por el camino e hicimos el picnic en la playa. Hacía mucho calor, pero el simple acercarse a la orilla bastaba para refrescarse con el viento fuerte que pegaba. Mojar un poco los pies fue suficiente para enfriar todo el cuerpo... pero qué agua tan fría, y que conste que soy del norte...
La vuelta fue rápida, teníamos que llegar para cenar, terminar de hacer la maleta, y poder dar una vuelta antes de ir hacia el aeropuerto, era la despedida...
Una vez hecho todo, pudimos salir a tomar un helado y despedirnos hasta,..luego. Hasta ahora los "hasta luego"-s se han cumplido. Esta vez ha tardado 5 años en llegar, pero ha llegado. Esperemos que la próxima venga antes y no tengamos media vida para actualizar.

Beach, beach, beach... I couldn't wait to see you! One of the things I miss the most where I live is the sea and of course, in summer much more. I knew that I would be able to see the sea coming to California, at least the SF Bay area, but I didn't know if I would be able to go to the beach due to the little time I had. Finally, my last day, it was possible, and there couldn't be a better way to end this trip. I was leaving that night, so we woke up quite early to drive all along the coast towards the south, enjoying the views until the beach where my friend wanted to take me.
How beautiful!!! I'd love to take the car and drive, with no direction but where the feeling of the moment and the discoveries along the way would drive me. With no time limit, a non planned trip, undefined,... There are too many places to discover!!
It was a lovely day, we bought food on our way and made the picnic in the beach. It was so hot, but going close to the shore was enough to cool down with the wind. Only touching the water with our feet was sufficient to freeze all the body, what a cold water!
There were no stops on the way back, we needed to get home as soon as possible to have dinner, finish packing and have time to talk and stay for a little bit at least. We could go for an icecream and have a nice time before the worst moment of every trip arrived: the time to say goodbye. We´ve always been more of the "see you soon"-s than of the "goodbye"-es and I can tell that they've always been true until today. This last time took 5 years, way too long; next time will surely be sooner so that we won't have half a life to catch up ;)
